Our Safety Patrol has been very busy this year with all their fundraising activities for their Washington, D.C. trip!  Their last fundraiser was a snow-cone and bake sale this past Saturday at Hitchcock's in Hawthorne.  Thank you to all who participated!

Parents, remember the Krispy Kreme doughnut sale ends this Friday, the 11th ... please have all monies turned by this date!  Pick up will be Thursday, the 17th, between 10 and 3 PM in Ms. Gollnick's room.  Mark your calendar so you don't forget!

Safety Patrols are also hosting a t-shirt decorating contest.  Students who would like to participate are asked to design a t-shirt logo with the following specifications:

* Must say, Ochwilla Elementary School.
* Must have an owl as a mascot.
* Must say, "Positive Learning makes happy owls."
* All designs must be submitted on a piece of white printer paper to Mrs. Strang in the front office by Friday, September 18, 2015.  (NOTE:  Students may submit more than 1 design.)

Entrees will be judged and a winner will be announced on Thursday, September 24, 2015.  The winning student's design will be printed on t-shirts which will be sold school-wide and can be worn on Fridays to show school spirit.  Just think -- whoever the winner is will be famous @ Ochwilla Elementary School!  Good luck to those participating!  T-shirts will be available for purchase at the end of October.  The price of the t-shirts will be forthcoming.

There will be a community yard sale/car wash/cookout on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 7 - 1 PM at Ochwilla Elementary.  Sections can be rented for $10 and if you have an overflow of items, you can rent a second space for $5.  Donations will be taken for washed cars.  Hot-dogs will be grilled and served with potato chips and a drink for $3.

Whether it is to sell your gently used items or to get your car washed or have a hot-dog for lunch ... come see us and show your support!  All proceeds will benefit Safety Patrols.
